If you are a student at the University of Birmingham, the UoB Sexual Violence & Harassment Team & GINA are working in partnership to offer you a Specialist Support Session.

This session will be with a counsellor who is a specialist in the field of sexual violence & abuse, & is designed to support you in exploring initial impacts of the trauma you’ve been subjected to, help you in creating/using coping strategies, explore ways you can ‘self-soothe’ to support your wellbeing at this difficult time, discuss any issues that GINA, UoB or any other specialist organisations can support you with & introduce you to resources that you may find useful. 

A follow-up session is available at your request to offer a space for further reflection & exploration. UoB are meeting the costs of sessions on your behalf.

Session take place on the University of Birmingham campus (The Lodge, located near the North Gate of Campus).

If you’re a University of Birmingham student & have been subjected to any form of sexual harassment, violence & abuse. You can approach the UoB Sexual violence & Harassment Team to make a referral into GINA on your behalf to access your Specialist Support Session/(s).
