🎓 Specialist Support Sessions for University of Birmingham Students 📍 Location: The Lodge, North Gate, University of Birmingham campus The Lodge, Pritchatts Road, Edgbaston, Birmingham B15 2SB If you’re a University of Birmingham student who has experienced sexual harassment, sexual violence or abuse, GINA is working in partnership with the UoB Sexual Violence & Harassment Team to offer free Specialist Support Sessions 💜 💜 What is a Specialist Support Session? Your session will be with a specialist counsellor experienced in supporting people affected by sexual violence and abuse. It provides a safe, supportive space to: 🌱 Explore some of the initial impacts of your experiences 🧠 Develop or strengthen coping strategies 💗 Explore ways to self-soothe and support your wellbeing 💬 Talk through any practical or emotional concerns 🤝 Discuss support available from GINA, UoB or other specialist organisations 📚 Discover resources that may be helpful to you You can also request a follow-up session if you'd like further space for reflection and exploration🌸 UoB covers the cost of your session(s), so there is nothing for you to pay💜 🏫 Where will my session take place? Sessions take place at The Lodge, North Gate, on the University of Birmingham campus. 🔔 Please note: As this is a partner location, we cannot guarantee that the space will be women-only. 💜 How do I access support? If you’re a University of Birmingham student who has experienced any form of sexual harassment, sexual violence or abuse, you can contact the UoB Sexual Violence & Harassment Team. With your consent, they can make a referral to GINA on your behalf so you can access your Specialist Support Session(s). You don't have to navigate this alone💜
