๐ Specialist Support Sessions for University of Birmingham Students ๐ Location: The Lodge, North Gate, University of Birmingham campus The Lodge, Pritchatts Road, Edgbaston, Birmingham B15 2SB If youโre a University of Birmingham student who has experienced sexual harassment, sexual violence or abuse, GINA is working in partnership with the UoB Sexual Violence & Harassment Team to offer free Specialist Support Sessions ๐ ๐ What is a Specialist Support Session? Your session will be with a specialist counsellor experienced in supporting people affected by sexual violence and abuse. It provides a safe, supportive space to: ๐ฑ Explore some of the initial impacts of your experiences ๐ง Develop or strengthen coping strategies ๐ Explore ways to self-soothe and support your wellbeing ๐ฌ Talk through any practical or emotional concerns ๐ค Discuss support available from GINA, UoB or other specialist organisations ๐ Discover resources that may be helpful to you You can also request a follow-up session if you'd like further space for reflection and exploration๐ธ UoB covers the cost of your session(s), so there is nothing for you to pay๐ ๐ซ Where will my session take place? Sessions take place at The Lodge, North Gate, on the University of Birmingham campus. ๐ Please note: As this is a partner location, we cannot guarantee that the space will be women-only. ๐ How do I access support? If youโre a University of Birmingham student who has experienced any form of sexual harassment, sexual violence or abuse, you can contact the UoB Sexual Violence & Harassment Team. With your consent, they can make a referral to GINA on your behalf so you can access your Specialist Support Session(s). You don't have to navigate this alone๐

Due to extremely high demand, we are unable to offer refunds for booking cancellations. However, you are able to reschedule your session up to 48 hours before it is due to take place.
